Happenings

July was busy because of my brother’s wedding. But it all went smoothly and the wedding was great. Working on some exciting projects that hopefully will pan out sooner rather than later. I was admitted to the Missouri Photo Workshop so will be attending that in late September.

Mt. Baldy is the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains at 10, 064 feet.

I’m traveling up to the Bay Area with my folks for my brother’s wedding. Very exciting. Will be camping the first night in Half Moon Bay with the wedding party. Let’s hope I don’t loose the wedding rings before the ceremony starts.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun to shoot and I’m thrilled with how the images turned out.

Happenings

June has been a month of rebuilding, reorganizing, and figuring out a bunch of stuff. The Henry Clay People music video I directed was released in June and well received. I took some photos of some big bands: LCD Soundsystem, The XX, Brian Jonestown Massacre. Two bands to point out that I saw in June that are amazing are Tijuana Panthers from Long Beach and Federale from Portland; both are worth checking out. I’ve also been hanging out with my dog quite a bit which has been nice. Planning the next big push.

The entire video shoot was a difficult one but that doesn’t mean that we didn’t have fun. Especially Fieron, who was a gentle giant and graciously took everything we could literally throw at him including water balloons to the groin, multiple takes while sprinting, flour to the face, hard falls, and thrown briefcases.

Special thanks goes out to Josh Polon and Danny Zucker for helping out with the video shoot as well as Fieron and all the local heros that donned president masks.

Happenings

May saw the release of my second music video this year for the song “Friends Aren’t Friends” by Light FM. It was featured on MySpace’s frontpage and apparently was well liked by William Reid of The Jesus and Mary Chain, which is kinda exciting.

Also completed a video for The Henry Clay People for their song “Your Famous Friends” which is awaiting release in support of their upcoing record on TBD Records Somewhere Along the Golden Coast. Should be out very soon.

I also had the great pleaseure to travel up to San Francisco for a week to see family and a few amazing friends. The photo above is a double exposure taken while coming in for a landing at SFO. I think I just might have to move there in 2011.
