February 2010 Wrap-up

In lieu of regular email blasts, at the end of each month I write a brief overview of what I’ve been up to and put together a mixtape of ten songs I listened to in the last month. Happenings

February was a drag out knock down month. A bunch of projects are in the works but the most exciting things revolve around photography.

I have a current exhibition at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park. It includes 11 rock photography prints featuring band such as Silversun Pickups, No Age, Dan Deacon, Crystal Antlers, and more. If you get the chance you should swing by and check them out.

I also shot some film the fist time in probably ten years at the new Lomography store in West Hollywood. Very exciting. I picked up at an LC-A and am lookingforward to shooting film throughout 2010. (The photo above is from my first roll.)

And This Ain’t a Scene is trucking along nicely.

I’ll be attending SXSW again this year, so if anyone else is going be sure to let me know so we can hang out in Austin.

I’ll be releasing five more profiles for This Ain’t a Scene in March with Josiah Mazzaschi of Light FM, Hunter Curra of Walking Sleep, Joey Siara of The Henry Clay People, Avi Buffalo of Avi Buffalo, and Adeline Danti.

I’ll also be attending SXSW.
